Bio & Mission
Cristina Platita is a Moldovan-American contemporary abstract artist based in Los Angeles, California, USA.
She has been practicing art since 2016 and has become known for her large-scale paintings that seamlessly blends multiple types of paint including natural pigments, water, air and fire blown on canvas and wood panels.
Her artwork is inspired by the connection between humans and nature. It offers a reflection on how she observes the changing natural world.
As she developed as an artist and saw worrying trends of human impact on the environment she realized her work must serve a higher purpose to inspire and inform the public about our shared ecosystem and capture the time and values that we are living now.
She hopes that through art we can always remember that we are one with nature and have a shared responsibility to protect it.
